The Retire & Roam live, online travel workshops are designed to help people find the joy in planning a trip - from early inspiration through to gently working through common concerns around safety, health, confidence and logistics.

Workshops run monthly, so there’s always an option to suit.

All you need is an internet connection, and a pen and paper if you'd like to make notes.

Explore ideas and inspiration and work through challenges

During the workshop, we'll explore:

  • Unique travel stories and inspiration.

  • Travel ideas that feel right for you.

  • Common concerns around safety, health and confidence.

  • Pace, comfort and practical logistics.

  • How to move from 'one day' to a realistic plan.

There’s no single 'right' way to travel - the focus is on what works for you.

4

Involve the people who support you (if you’d like)

Just as I keep an eye on my own Dad, many people approaching or in retirement are supported by their adult children, partners and close loved ones.

At Retire & Roam, we refer to this group as our ‘Caring Child’ audience.

All Caring Children, partners and friends are very welcome to join the workshops at no extra cost. This helps everyone better understand:

  • What matters to their loved one when it comes to travel and retirement.

  • Common concerns around safety, health and confidence.

  • How to offer reassurance and support.

  • The realities of life after work and how these can change.

At the time of booking, you'll see details about how to add your loved ones, free of charge.

5

Take things forward in your own time

We share plenty of further resources to help you take the next step in making a travel booking in your own time, only if you decide to do so. There’s no expectation to book anything - the workshops are purely to give you inspiration and ideas.
